Power Tool Reviews | News | Opinions

Welcome to Powertoolz. A site dedicated to power tools for everyone from occasional home users and DIY’ers to hobbyists, craftsmen and full-time professionals. We try to offer advice and opinions on a wide range of tools particularly cordless power tools, which are becoming a mainstay of the tool market.

We review drills and drivers, angle grinders, cordless screwdrivers, jigsaws, circular saws, batteries, sanders and more. Even cordless radios, multi-tools, vacuums and nailers. From some of the top manufacturers to suit all budgets – big brand names you will have heard of like Dewalt and Makita, Ryobi and Bosch plus more trade focussed brands like Hilti.

They say you get what you pay for – but in the world of power tools this is not always the case. Technology has moved on and some of the cheaper brands offer great value for money, leaving some of the more traditionally expensive manufacturers needing to improve their products and product ranges. Equally, there are some manufacturers out there supplying tools which are just not up to stretch, whatever your budget.

We have been using power tools for decades, as enthusiastic DIY’ers and as professional trades people. We try to give you the facts about the tools rather than a hard sell, and only give our opinions when we really know about the tools we are reviewing. Some we have used regularly in busy, industrial workshops, some we have had for years at home, doing job after job.
